God is love–and found in reverence for all living things

Many people of Hawaiian ancestry are deeply religious.  Mostly Christian, they nevertheless revere their ancestors and traditions, sometimes mixing ancient beliefs with those of Christianity.  Certain words and phrases demonstrate their beliefs, especially in the Divine.

As in: Aloha ke akua: God is love.
